authority given it by its charter and ordinances : Therefore it iL is
hereby provided that in accordance with the plans and specifications
submitted by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk, that q,
ament concrete siidewalk be constructed in front of the abutting pro-
perty a.s set out above, and that the total cost of the aforesaid shall
be charged and levied as 4 special assessment against the real estate
abutting and fronting on said contemglated improvement, and special
tax bills shallbe issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter
and of the Revised ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,1925,
and of the Revised Statues of the State of Missouri, 1929, and
amendments thereto.
SECTICX 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to
advertise far bids for this improvement.
SECTIQNx3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after. its passage and approval.

SECTIQN•1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declaredby the
City Council, by Ordinance No. 4079 passed on Aug 5, 1927 necessary
to construct a cement concrete sidewalk on the west side of Madison
St eet in the block between* IUS4 Street and Mc Carty Street, and it
appearing to the City Council that 'the property owner or owners own-
ing the abutting property liable for thecost of said improvement has cr
ar have been duly notified according to law, and that property owner
or owners has 'or have failed and refused to construct said sidewalk
as ' directed by -the Cjty of 'Jefferabn, under the power -nd' authority F
given it by "its charter and ordinances. Therefore' it is hereby 1):,,o < <
