HE CURB. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWSt SECTION'l. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by the City Council, by Ordinance No. 4042 passed on J ly 15, 1937 necessary to construct a cement concretV sidewalk on the Z-@ddt side of Marshall S Street in _he block between Street and E. Ca.p:It&I Avenue, And it appearing to the City Council that the property owner or owners owning the abutting property liable for the cost of said improvement , has or have been du3y notified according to law, and. that property owner or owne has or have fa fled 'and refused to c onstriict said sidewalk as directed by the City of Jefferson, ' under the power and authority given it by its charter acid ordinances 0 Therefore it ' is hereby provided that in accor- dance with the plans and s136cifications submitted by the City Engineer and filed with the ' City Clerk, ' that a cement concrete sidewalk be con- structed. in front of the abutting property as set but above, and that the total cost' of the aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special assessment against , the real estate abutting and fronting on said contem- plated improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter and' of the REvised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, M4 ssoutiq 1925, and of the Revised Statues of the State of i X ssouri, 19299 and amendments thereto.
