WHEREAS, "Richland Project Celebration" annually sponsors a
drug-free, alcohol-free, all-night party following the Richland
High School Senior Prom; and,
WHEREAS, Richland Project Celebration proposes to sponsor such
an event in 1994; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills,
Texas, feels that even if only one graduate is saved from a fatal
accident on prom night, a substantial public purpose will have been
served;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, that the City Council hereby authorizes
the City Manager to make a donation in the amount of $500
• to "Richland Project Celebration, 1994" in support of a drug and
alcohol-free after prom party.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Richland Hills, by a vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions on this the 22nd day of February 1994.
