HomeMy Public PortalAbout2002-01 Ratifying the Appointment of the Members of the Charter Revision Commission of the VKBRESOLUTION NO. 2002-1 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE APPOINTMENT OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CHARTER REVISION COMMISSION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on November 13, 2001, the Village Council appointed the members of the Charter Revision Commission pursuant to Section 7.06 of the Village Charter, in light of the circumstance that a regular meeting of the Village Council was not then scheduled for the month of December 2001; and WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to ratify the appointment of the members of the Charter Revision Commission, as provided herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recitals Adopted. The recitals stated above are hereby confirmed and adopted. Section 2. Ratification of Appointments. The November 13, 2001, motion adopted by the Village Council appointing the below described members to the Charter Revision Commission is hereby ratified and confirmed and the following persons are hereby appointed as the members of the Charter Revision Commission: The Honorable Martha F. Broucek, Chairman Mr. Michael Kahn, Vice Chairman Mr. Stuart D. Ames Dr. Michael Kelly Mr. Luis Lauredo Section 3. Duties. The Charter Revision Commission shall perform its duties and responsibilities as required by Section 7.06 of the Village Charter. Section 4. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately from and after adoption hereof and shall serve to ratify the appointment of the members of the Charter Revision Commission as made on November 13, 2001.
