AN ORDINANCE levying and assessing a special tax against each
lot 'off' piece of g-ound lying between and situate within the
b u'dg cf Sewer District No. 61 in the City of Jefferson,
M ssonri ; in the name of the per or owners thereof for con-
struction and completing sewer therein.
BE• IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSCN, MOSSCURI,
AS FOLLOWSs
SECTION 2. It appearing from the written report of the City
Ezigineer, the officer•.in 'charge of the work' of construction
And completing sewers '"in Sewer District No. 61 , in -the' City
of Jefferson M A6s ourt, heretofore submitted by said officer
to 'the City �ounciZ and s pproved and fYled' by it on this 11th
Day of�April 1938, at a regular meeting of the City Council held
on-t1hfe date, that the total cost of construction and corn leting
bk1x of sild sewer as constructed, amounts to the sum of 937.25 ,
and it further appearing that said report of said officer did app-
ortion said costs against the several lots or pieces of ground in sa
said Sewer District No. 61 , exclusives of streets; in pro-
portion to the area of the whole of said District No. 61 ex-
eluei've of. the public highways, and it ' further appear3ingg that the
toted number of square feet' contained in the aggregate number of
lot$ qnd pieces' of ground situated in the maid Sewer District
No. 61,ex6lusive of the public highways therein amounts to
_ 208,000°00 square feet. And it furthef appearing from
tbeshid repott th-t on proper apportionment of. .. aid costs such
lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 61 so site
uated, each square foot of ground contained in said-lot8 ar pieces
of 'ground'in •said Sewer District No. 61 is chargable with the
sum of square Coot.
Now; therefore, for the purpose of paying for the work of
construction and completing of sewers in said Sewer District No.
'61 togetYier with all necessary laterals, inlets, catch basins,
manholes, acid other necessary a-:)purtenanees thereto appertaining,
there is hereby levied and assessed• against the several and here-
inafter described lot$' or pieces mf ground within the bounds of
said Sewer`District No. 61 , situated in the name of the respec-
tive name of the owner or owners of said lots or pieces of ground,
a special tax at the rate mf i0, D04. 506 per square; foot for each
r.nd every square foot of ground so situated as aforesaid.
SECTION 2. Each 'of the lots or pieces of ground so mentioned
and referred to in Section 1 of this ordinance, against which
a special tax bill is specified in Section 1 of this ordinance
is levied and assessed and the same is hereby levied and assess-
ed and the description of said lots or pieces of ground and the
name of the owner or owners thereof in which the tax is levied and
assessed and the cost per square foot and the amount assessed each
lot or piece of ground in said Sewer District No. 61 situated
in the name of the owner or owners thereof, the number of square
feet owned by each property holder in the lots or pieces of
