HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution No. 039-94 05-24-1994 RESOLUTION NO. 3 9 - 9 4 A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION OF THE WATER CONSERVATION AND EMERGENCY WATER DEMAND MANAGEMENT PLAN WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills is a wholesale water service customer of the City of Fort Worth; and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has received a commitment for financial assistance from the Texas Water Development Board for loans from the State Revolving Loan Fund; and WHEREAS, the above stated commitments are conditioned on the adoption of a program of water conservation for the mare efficient use of water that will meet reasonable anticipated local needs and conditions, and which is approved by the Executive Administration of the Texas Water Development Board; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, desires to have in place a program of water conservation and a plan to mitigate the adverse effects on the water supply and water system during periods of drought; and WHEREAS, the goal of the water conservation program will be to reduce per capita water consumption by a minimum of 5 percent; and WHEREAS, the attached Water Conservation and Emergency Water Demand Management Plan will meet these objectives. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS: THAT, the City of Richland Hills, Texas adopts the Water Conservation and Emergency Water Demand Management Plan, as attached hereto, on this 24th day of May, 1994, A.D. Further, that the Water Conservation and Emergency Water Demand Management Plan, with its amendments, will remain in effect throughout the life of the loans from the Texas Water Development Board: RESOLUTION N0. 39-94 PAGE 2 PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HII,LS, TEXAS, MEETING IN REGULAR SESSION THIS 2 4TH DAY OF MAC' 1994, BY A VOTE OF 5 AYES, ~ NAYS AND ~ ABSTENTIONS.
