SECTION 4. That there shall be and it is hereby made the duty of said Board of Public Works to keep books of a.ccountz showing with entire accuracy cantenpora.neous current entries of h the receipts and expends tures of said Board, in such mq.nneras to enable the si.me to be understood and investigated, and also to pre- serve cn file in its office duplicate vouchers for a.11 i*ts expendi- tures , which books and duplic,,.tr,s sho.11 at all times be open to the ex-mina.tion of the Finance Committee of the City Council, or apy Cher core- ittee appointed by the Common council, and said Board shal make such reports of its business and transactions to the Mayor and Csbty "ouncilo of said City as may be provided by ordinance. SECTION 5. That so.id Bo ard of Public Works shall hold one regular meeting each month at such time and place as may be fixed and specified by said Board. Special meetings may be called by the President of said Board on such notice as may be specified by said o--rd, and special meetings shall be c •lied by the President of said Bord when requested to do so by a majority of the members of said Board. The members of s dd Board shall receive as compensa- tion for their services a fee of $ 10.00 for attending any regular meeting of s6.id Board but no fee sh,r•11 be paidany membef for attend- ing any special meeting of the loa.rd. SECTIONG. That all revenues of the waterworks plant and system of the City of Jefferson, Yissouri , shr:.11 be segregate& from all other funds and revenues of spid City acid said water revenues s�;iall be paid and deposited in a separite fund to be known as the "Waterworks i�"und" of said City, which said fund shall be adninistered solely by $he Board of Public Wvrke of said City estab- lisbed and created by this ordinance. Said tiW,:,terworks fund shall be used and a.taplied by said Board of Public '+forks solely for the purpose of paying the opera> ting expenses of the ►iaterworks plant and system of slid City, maintaining the same and keeping the same in good repeir and operating condition , paying the interest and principal of all %V--terworks Bonds of said City nd making improve- r;ent s and extentions of the waterworks plant and systes of said City. SECTION 7. That in the event Ghat at the special election to be held in the City of Jefferson, hissout�, on December 7th, 19389 two thirds of the qualified voters of st.t.id city voting at said election shall fail to authorize the issuance of bonds of said City for the purpose cf purchasing the existing waterworks plant and system now furnishing water to dra,id City and its i-•ihabitants, then the Board of Public works hereby created shall cease to exist, from and -fter s,- id date.
