HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD04240 385 # 4240 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AS A PUPLIC THOHOUGHFARE A STRIP OF LAND THIRTY FEET IN WIDTH AND THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FEET IN LENGTH LOCATED IN THE NORTH HALF OF THE SOUTH--EAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTH- EAST QUARTER OF SECTION TWELVE, TOWNSHIP FORTY--FOUR, RANGE TWELVE. WHEREAS, the heirs Bf Jlhn Heidker conveyed by deed dated March 28, 1912, recorded in Book 37, Page 544 in the office of the R-6eorder of Deeds of Cole county, Missouri, to the City of Jefferson Missouri for road purposes, a strip of land 15 feet wide and 330 feet in length, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the NW corner of the NE J of the SE4 of the SEJ of Section 12 Twp. 44, R.12, East 15 feet, thence south 330 feet, thence West 15 feet, thence North 330 feet to place of beginning; and WHEREAS, the heirs of Hohn Heidker conveyed by deed dated March 28, 1912, recorded i& Book 37, Page 542 in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Code ounty, Missouri, a strip of land 15 feet wide and 330 feet in length, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of the NW a of the SEJ of the SE-1 of Sec- ti6n 12, Twp.44, R. 12 outh 330 feet, thence West 15 feet, thence North 330 feet, thence Bast 15 feet to the place of beginning; and WHEREAS, all of the owners of the lands surrounding and abutt- ing and adjacent - to the two above described strips of land have petitioned the City council for a vacation thereof, and have shown that the said strips have hearer been used as a street or thorough- fare., that they are of no benefit, convenience, or. necessity, and serve no purpose whatsoever, and that the vacation thereof would not inconvenience the public or any of the citizens of the City of Jefferson, Missouri.; therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the strip of land beginning at the NW corner of the NE I of the SEJ of the SEJ of Sec. 12, Twp. 44, R, 12 East 15 feet, thence "outh 330 feet, thence West 15 feet, thence North 330 feet to place of beginning, deeded by the heirs of John Heidker to the City of Jefferson Missouri, be forever vacated and discon- tinued as a street or public thoroughfare, and SECTION 2. That the strip oto land 15 feet wide and 330 feet in length, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of the NW4 of the SEk of the SEI of section 12, Twp. 44 R. 12, Oouth 330 feet, thence West 15 feet, thence North 330 feet,, thence East 15 feet to &he place of beginning, deeded by the heirs of John Heidker to the ity of Jefferson, Missouri, be forever va- cated as a street or public thoroughfare, and SECTION 3. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: " , Section 1. Ordinance Njmber 3860 is hereby repealed. Section 2.
