by the city, shall see that the City Hall is maintained in a clean
and sanitary condition, and shall perform such duties as the council
may from time to time direct.
Section 3. for this services the custodian shall receive the
sum of $15.00 per month.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after it's passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE repealing Section 720aof Ordinance Numbef 3134 relating to
the appoigLtment of a Desk Sergeant and prescribing his dutied and hours
of duties, and encating a new section relating to the same subject
matter to be known as Section 720 a.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON AS
FOLLOWS:
Section o Ordinance Numbdr 1 4 i Section 1. t 720a f 3 3 s hereby
repealed and a new section to be known as Section 720 a is hereby
enacted in lieu thereof and is to read as follows:
Section 720 a. At the first regular meeting of the City `'ouncil
held after each City Election, the avor may appoint one Clerk or
�~ Desk Sergeant by and with the consent of the City Council forLthe
term of one year, subject however to removal at any time in the same
manner as is provided for the removal of regualr policemen; said
!. Clerk or Desk Sergeant shall have full police power and shall be
assigned to regular duty at po.2.ice headquarters from 6 A.M. to 5
P.M. of each day, and shall be required to make a record of routine
calls made by police officers upon th&dr respective beats duni:fg the
hours he is on duty, upon sheets provided for that purpose, a record
being made for each policeman, and each and every failure of any
policeman to make calls .to headquarters as hereinafter required shall
be noted and called to the attention of the Marshal and City Police
Board.

AN ORDINANCE finding it necessary to condemn a strip of land
3 feet in width, 200 feet in length, for the purpose of constructing
a sanitary sewer, and authorizing the City Attorney to bring legal
proceedings to condemn said strip of land.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTIONI. The ity Council of the City of Jefferson does
hereby find it necessary to obtain the following described property
for the purpose of constructing a sanitary sewer, said property is more
particularly described as follows:
A strip of land three feet in width, being
a part of Outlet 31 in the City of Jefferson, Mssouri, the
center line of said strip being described as follows:
Beginning oh the easterly line of said Outlot, 358 feet
northerly of the goutheastekJy';corrier--=therecUi :thence 'wgater--
ly parallel with the southerly line of said Outlot, 200
feet; thence South 66 degrees West ([Magnetic) 35 feet.
