HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution No. 043-94 09-13-1994 RESOLUTION NO. 4 3 - 9 4 WHEREAS, the Richland Hills Animal Shelter Advisory Board has advised the City Council that the current Richland Hills Animal Shelter facility is inadequate to serve the needs of the community; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, has determined that it would be more economical in the long run to construct a new animal shelter than to continue to repair and renovate the existing animal shelter facility; however the City Council has also determined that sufficient funds do not exist in the City's budget for construction of such a new facility; and WHEREAS, the Richland Hills Animal Shelter Advisory Board wishes to seek grants in order to help fund the construction of a new animal shelter facility in the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, that the City Council hereby supports submission of grant applications to various funding sources by the Richland Hills Animal Shelter Advisory Board, seeking funds for the construction of a new animal shelter facility within the City of Richland Hills, Texas; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, hereby expresses its appreciation to the Animal Shelter Advisory Board for its continuing efforts to improve the animal shelter facilities within the City of Richland Hills, Texas.
