AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE CHIEF OF POLICE NAY APPOINT ELEVEN
PATROLMEN OR POLICEMEN IN THE SAME MANNER AS NOW PROVIDED BY AAW.
�BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
AS FOLLOWS:
Vj k P . ` SECTION 1. Hereafter the city shall have eleven regular
atrolmen
or policemen, vahich patrolmen or policemen shall be
appointed and confirmed as is now provided by city ordinance.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon itw passage and approval and the chief of police shall as soon
as possible name one additional policeman to be approved and con-
firmed in the same manner as now provided by city ordinance.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF ALL VEIT�LES CN THE SOUTH SIDE
OF STATE STREET FOR A DISTANCE CF THIRTY EIGHT FEET, BEGINNING AT THE
I N:['ERS F.CT 10N OF THE CURB LINT'S AT STA"E STREET Ar'.D LAFAYETTE STREET .
�! BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TiiE CITY OF HEFFERSON, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful or any motor
vei:icle, wagon, carriage, or other vehicle, to be parked on the
south side of State Street for a distance of thirty eight feet from
the intersection of the curb lines at the intersection of State
Street and Lafayette Street.
SECTION 2. Anyone fo nd guilty of violating this or 1-inance
may be punished by a fine of not more than Fifty ''ollars and by
imprisonment in ;jail for not more that thirty days, or by both such
fine and inrpisonont.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately

AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE INEST SIDE OF LAFAYETTE STREET
FOR A DISTANCE OF TWENTY-FIVE FEET, FEGINNING AT THE INTERS''CTTON OF
STATE STREET AND ?AFAYETTE STREET AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE ,IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for any motor
vehicle, carriage, wagon, or other vehicle, to be parked on the
west side of Lafayette Street for a distance of twenty-five feet,
beginning at the intersection of the curb lines of Lafayette Street
and State Street,
SECTION 2. Anyone found guilty f violating this ordinance
may be punished by a fine of not more that Fifty Dollars and by im-
prisonment in Jail of not more that thiity days, or by •both such fine
and imprisonment.
SECTIOI: 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
