1.03. Since the .doption of

the adoption of an •rdinance
which establishes a new rural
public/semi-public zo ing district
which permits religious institu-
tions and facilities as onditional
uses and which elimi ates such
uses from the rural esidential,
rural residential-1 an• rural resi-
dential-2 zoning distri.ts. The or-
dinance was adopted .y the City
on June 16, 2009, any will be ef-
fective upon publicati.n.
Section 2. Findings.
2.01. In light of the conclu-
sion of the planning process re-
garding the regulation of religious
institutions and facilities within
the rural areas of the community,
it is hereby found and determined
by the City that the moratorium on
religious institutions and facilities
is repealed as it applies to areas
of the community within the rural
public/semi-public, rural residen-
tial, rural residential -urban re-
serve, rural residential-1 and
rural residential-2 zoning dis-
tricts.
2.02. City staff may hence-
forth accept and process applica-
tions regarding religious institu-
tions and facilities on properties
within the rural public/semi-public
zoning district, subject to such re-
strictions and processes general-
ly imposed by the City's ordi-
nances and other law.
2.03 Except as specified by
this ordinance, the provisions of
Ordinance No. 455 shall remain
in full force and effect.
Section 3. Effective Date.
3.01. This ordinance shall
be effective upon its adoption and
publication.
Adopted by the city council of the
city of Medina this 7th day of July,
2009.
