WHEREAS, a community, area-wide, family-oriented Fourth of July celebration has been
scheduled for July 4, 1995, to be held at the TCJC Northeast Campus at 8:45 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the organizers of celebration have requested that the City of Richland Hills
co-sponsor and provide financial assistance to defray a portion of the cost of such event; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, hereby finds that a public
purpose will be served by the holding of such a celebration; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, desires to co-sponsor
and make available $500.00 in financial assistance to defray a portion of the cost of such
celebration; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, further desires to
delegate to its City Manager the authority to pay the amount of $500.00 from the City of
Richland Hills, Texas, for said celebration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
That the City Manager of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, is hereby authorized to pay
$500.00 in City funds to co-sponsor the Fourth of July celebration to be held on July 4, 1995,
at TCJC Northeast Campus at 8:45 p.m.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas,
by a vote of 5 ayes, ~ nays and ~ abstentions this 14th day of March, 1995.
