AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A ZONE
CHANGE OF TRACT NO. 26522 FROM A -1 -1 to R -1
ZONING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Temple
City, at its regular meeting held in the City Hall, at 9664 East Las
Tunas Drive, Temple City, California, on November 21, 1960 at 7:30
o'clock p.m. held a duly constituted public hearing in regard to the
zone change request of Frederick N. Free, being City of Temple City
Zone Change Case No. 60 -7.
SECTION 2. After due consideration of the application of
Frederick N. Free the Planning Commission adopted its Resolution
wherein it recommended a change of zone from A -1 -1 to R -1 on the sub-
ject real property described in the application for zone change as:
Lots 16 through 30 of Tract 10558 in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California as per map recorded
in Book 178 Pages 4-5 of Maps in the office of the
County Recorder of said County.
Said real property is referenced in a tentative Tract
Map as Tract No. 26522.
SECTION 3. That on the 12th day of December, 1960, at
7 ;30 o'clock p.m., the City Council of the City of Temple City held
a public hearing at the time and place prescribed by valid legal
notices earlier given pursuant to Chapter 6 of Los Angeles County
Ordinance 1494 as adopted by Section 9100 of the Municipal Code of
the City of Temple City as amended by Section 9103 of said Municipal
Code, to hear protests, if any, to the application for the zone change
request of the said Frederick N. Free to change the zone of his Prop-
erty legally described in Section 2 hereof from zone A -1 -1 to zone
R -1. After the aforesaid public hearing was held the Mayor closed
the public hearing and the matter was held over for further discus-
sion by the City Council until December 27, 1960. On December 27,
1960 at a regular meeting of the City Council held at 7:30 n.m. at
the City Hall, 9664 East Las Tunas Drive, Temple City, California,
it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried, that the City Council
approve the zone change subject to the approval of the City Council
of the final Tract Map of Tract 26522.
SECTION 4. After due consideration, the City Council ex-
pressly finds that good zoning practice justified a change of zone
of the property hereinabove legally described in Section 2 herein as
Tract 26522 from zone A -1 -1 to zone R -1 and the City Council does
hereby grant a change of zone of the said real property legally de-
scribed in Section 2 as Tract 26522 herein from zone A-1.1 to zone
R -1.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to take
effect immediately under Section 36937 (c) of the Government Code.
