ESTABLISHING A GSA EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION COMMITTEE
FOR THE BOROUGH OT CARTERET
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret (hereinafter `Borough") desires to establish a GSA
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee for the Borough to help amplify and advocate
for a community -wide association that recognizes and brings together lesbian, gay, bi-
sexual and straight youth where they can all thrive and frilly and safely express their
individuality and shared experiences in a safe, positive and nonjudgmental environment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to establish and appoint a GSA Equity,
Diversity & Inclusion Committee for the Borough to promote and advance
the aforementioned goals and purposes to amplify and advocate for the full
and open voices of lesbian, gay, bisexual and straight youth together
throughout the community.
Section 2. All Ordinances and/or provisions thereof inconsistent with the provision of
this Ordinance shall be and are hereby repealed as to the extent of any such
inconsistencies.
Section 3. If any section, subsection, part, clause or phrase of this Ordinance shall be
declared invalid by judgment of any Court of competent jurisdiction, the
section, subsection, part, clause or phrase shall be deemed to be sever able
from the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication according
to applicable law.
