AN ORDIVANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE OLD JAIL SITE FROM THE
COUNTY OF COLE OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI AND RHOVIDING FOR THE ACCEPT*
ANCE OF A DEED OR GRANT FROM THE COUNTY OF COLE AND AUTHORIZING THE
PAYMENT OF $121500.00 TO THE COUNTY OF COLE AS CONSIDERATION FOR SAID
LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY VOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The purchase and acquisition of the northerly one-
half of Inlots 605 and 606 in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, except
a strip of land four feet wide off the eesterly end thereof, the same
being the site of the old Cole vounty jail, is hereby authorized to be
purchased and acquired by the proper officials of the City of Jefferson
from the proper officials of the County of Cole, State of Missouri, the
same to be held by the City free of all restrictions, except the said'
.and shall be used for public use for a term of twenty years.
SECTION 2. It is hereby authorized that a warrant shall be
executed by the treasurer of the City of Jefferson for the payment of
said land to the County of Cole, State of Missouri.
SECTION 3. The �'ity of Jefferson, shall receive a deed properly
signed and executed by the officials of the County of Cole., which deed
shall convey xxt to the City of Jefferson the land 'together with all
its buildings and appurtenances and easements, the same to hold by
the City of Jefferson in fee simple title with no restrictions whatso-
ever except the one mentioned in Section 1 Hereof.
SECTICY 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE MOFEY FOR THE MONTH OF JULY, 1941.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the
City Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the following:
REVENUE FUND

To pay registration fee on $27,500.00 Current
