AN ORDINANCE to amend Ordinance Pao. 4 1 , entitled
"AN ORDINANCE providing for the levy of Oity taxes and establishing
the rate of taxation for the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the
year 1942."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
RIISSO RI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Paragraphs Two and 'ihree of Section 1, of Ordinance
No. 4551 entitled "An Ordinance providing for the Levy of City Taxes
and Establishing the Rate of Tax?tion for the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, for the year 1942, are hereby repealed, and two new paragraph
are hereby passed, to read as follows:
Second. For the purpose of paying the interest on the out-
standing bonds of the city of Jefferson, !.!issouri, and for the pur-
pose of creating a sinking .fund to retire the outstanding bonds of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of F-6fteen cents on the one
hundred dollar valuation.
Third. For the purpose of establishing and maintaining a free
public library in the city of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of ten cents
on the one hundred dollar valuation.
Section 2. All Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. this &rdinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE extending the toundaries of the city limits of the city
of Jefferson and providing for a special election by the eledtors
of the city to vote on said extension.
PE IT ORDAINED PY THE CITY COI?NCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. she boundaries and city limits of the City of
Jefferson ane hereby extended so as to include the following described
tracts of land adjacent to the present city limits of the City of
Jefferson.
(TRACT 1.
Beginning at the intersection of the north line of the
Ten Yile Drive and the quarter section line running north abd south
through the center of Section 2. Township 44, Ratmge 12,' thence west
along and with the north line of the Ten P.Tile Drive 750 feet to the
southwest corner of West. TvToreland Heights Addition; thence northeast ajojag
along and with the west line of Vest itoreland Heights Addition 512.4 RKak
feet to the township line dividing Township 44 and 45; thencr east along
said township line 534.1 feet to the quarter section line and the
present Corp rate li:,;its; thence south along said quarter section
line and the corporate limits to the point of beginning.
TRACT 2,
Peginning at a point on tho township line dividing township 44 and
and 45, 417. .2 feet west of the quarter sectioncorner, in Section 35,
Township 45, Range 12, said point of beginning being the present corporate
limits and also the southwesr corner of Lot £3, Plock 3, of the
?'eadows Subdivision;
