BE IT ORDAINED BY THE' COUNCIL OF THIP, CITY OF JEFFI-M,SON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate End
cost price per square foot as specified ' in Section 2 of this
ordinance against the lots 'Qr tracts ' of land fronting or abutting
on Marshall Street, between High Street and East Capitol Avenue,
in the ity of Jefferson, Missouri, for the improvement by construc-
tion of"a ceaent}t.: concrete sidewalk, the sum of $105.42 as the total
cost of the improvement of said side%:,alk and the total number of
square feet of sidewalk abutting said n bove mentioned street amounts
to 502 and the cost per square foot is $0.21.
SECTION 2. for the purpose of paying for said improvement by the
construction of a cement concrete sidewilk on Marshall Street, be-
tween High Street and Fast Capitol "venue, there is levied and x
assessed the sum of $0.21 as a special tax against each square foot
of sidewalk abutting said above mentioned street between the afore-
said streets.
SECTION 3. The name of each property owner or owners and the des-
cription of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on
I4arshal2 Street, between High Street and East Capitol Avenue, and
the number of square feet of sidewalk assessable to the abutting
property and the description of assessable property owned by the
abutting property owner or owners, and the cost price per square
foot for said improvement and 'the amoiunt hereby' levied and assessed
as a special tax for said imprcve°:crt cdcinst each lot or piece of
ground fronting or abutting the aforesaid street is as follows:
George W. Pifer and Marie rifer owners of a part of Inlots 370,
and described as: Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said
Inlot; thence northerly along the easterly line, 120 feet, thence
westerly parallel to the southerly line, 69 feet 4 1 inches; thence
southerly parallel to the easterly line, 20 feet; thence easterly
parallel to the southerly line 29 feet 4 z inches;thence southerly
parallel to the ea terly line 100 feet; thence easteziy 40 feet to
the point of beginning.

SECTION 4. That the City 'lerk is hereby instructed to make out
a special tax bill in favor of the contractor Louis Brunner for
the withiin mentioned work in accordance with tiie Ordinancea of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri;, relative to the said kind of work
and in accordance with the charter og said City in regard to said
work.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF JEFF MSOY, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate
and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of t!:is
ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or
abutting on the roadi,-ay of unklin Street, from P'_ouchin Street east
240 feet, in the ity of Jefferson, 11isso .ri, for the improvement of the
rogdway Dunklin Street aforesaid, including such gracing as may be
necessary for the reception of a cement sidewalk, the sum of $2617.84 as
the total costs of the ir.prove::.ent of said street and the num'. er of

front feet fronting or abutting said roadway of said IJunklin Street
aforesaid) between the aforesaid streets amounts to 426.7 running
feet the cost price per running foot is $5-76166 for pavement and
$0-3� for curb.
SECTION 2, For the purpose of paying said improvement off
said roadway of Dunklin Street from T1 ouchin Street, east 240 feet,
for pavement and $0.38 for curb there is hereby levied and assessed the
sum of $5-76166 as a special tax against each frbntt foot of ground
fronting or abutting said roadway of Dunklin Street between the afore-
said streets., and contained in such 11t or piece of ground fronting
or abutting said improved roadi%,ay of said Dunklin Streeto from
Houchin Street., east 240 feet.

No. 66, and described as; Peginning at the northeasterly corner of
said Outlot; thence westerly along the southerly line of Dunklin
Street,, 218.4 feet to the ealterly line of Houchin Street; thence
soy-therly along the easterly line of 1.1oucLin Street, 50 feet; thence
easterly parallel to Dunklin Street, 118.4 feet; thence southerly
parallel to Houchin Street., 50 feet; thence easterly parallel to
Dunklin Street, 100 feet to the eactelry line of said Outlot; thence
northerly 100 feet to the point of beginning.

SECTION 3. The ame of each property owner or owners and the
description of each lot of piece of ground fronting or abutting on
each side of Dunklin Street from Houchin Street., east 240 feet and the
number of front feet owned by each owner or owners and contained in
the lots or tracts of land so owned and abutting said block 6r street
between the aforesaid streets and the cost price per front foor for said
improvement and the amount hereby levied and assessed as a special
tax for said improvement against each lot or piece of ground fronting
or abutting said street or the roadway from the center of the
intersection fo Dunklin Street and Houchin Street,, east to a point
240 feet .east of the east line of Houchin Street.
SECTION 4. That the `city Clerk is hereby instructed to make out
special tax bills in favor of the contractor Louis Brunner for &he
within mentioned work in accrodance with the ordinances of the it�
of Jefferson, Missouri, relatime to said kind of work and in ac8ordance
with the Charter of said 'ity in regard to said work.
