Owenp Jesse N._'Jwens President of the council rT.Tayor #4618 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDIMG FOR THE LEVY OF CITY TAXES AND ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXATION TOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSON n1ISSOt'RI, FOR THE YEAR 1943, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, T:IISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby levied and assessed the following rate on all real estate and personal property within the limits of the City of Jefferson, ?Missouri, not exempt from taxag tion by the constitution or the Laws of the State of '.!j.ssou.ri, as shown by the assessment book of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the year 1942, and on all P.Merchants and Manufacturers state- ments) made as provided by law. First,- F'or the purpose of paying all current expenses of the City of Jefferson, T, issouri, for the fiscal ,year, the stun of h0•_ cents on the one hundred dollar valuation. Second,-- For the purpose of paying interest on the out- standing bonds of the "ity of Jefferson, Missouri, and for the purpose-of creating a sinkinf- fund to retire the outsatnding bonds of the city of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of 20 cents on the one hundred dollar valuation. Third,- For the purpose of establishing and maintaining a free public library in the Cit.,;T of Jefferson, P,?issouri, the sum of— 10 _cents on the one hundred dollar valuation. SECTION 2. It shall be the duty of the `'ity �'lerk to cause to be extended in the appropriate colu rnn�s opposite each item of the . ° taxable property on the assessment book, as returned by the s Assessor of the ity of Jefferson, P.'issouri, and corrected by the County Board og Equalization, the amount of taxes required to be paid by each person as provided by Section 1 of this Ordinance. SECTION 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with triis ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 4.
