AN ORDIIfANCE to amend Ordinance Rio. 46. 49 and Section 335, hapter
3, Revised Ordinances of the 'ity of Jefferson, Ii.iissouri, 1944, re-
lating to the salary of appointive officers and employees.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the ity of Jefferson,
Missouri, as follows:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 4649 aadB Section 335,
Chapter 3, Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, 1941, be
and the same is hereby ameeded by striking out tree words "twenty-
seven hundred dollorr" in the line "c" and substituting in lieu
thereof the words "three thousand dollars" so that line "c" as
amended shall read as follows:
Section 335:
c. he Street Commissioner sTiall receive three thoudand
dollars per annum as salary.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
fr6m and after its passage and approval.

Chapter 14, of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, for the year 1941, relating to the office of Health Officer
and the salary and expenses to be paid the Health Officer, be and
the same is hereby amended by striking out in line 5 the words and
figures "One Thousend ix Fundred and Eighty Dollars ($16W.00)"
and substituting in lieu thereof the words and figures "Eighteen
Hundred Doll ars ($lbOO.00)" so tho.t Section 815 as amended shall
read as follows:
Section d15: The office of Health Officer of the "ity of
Jef'f'erson, Vissouri, is hereby created. `he Health Officer shall
be appointed for a term of one year by the Mayor with the consent
and approval of a majority of the City Council. The salary of the
