AN ORDINANCE to repeal Sections 915 arid 918, Chapter 1C', Revised
Ordinances of the ity of Jefferson., Missouri, 1941, relating
to the appointment"of the `'ity Dog Catcher, his duties and salary
and to enact two new sections in lieu thereof, relating to the
same subject, to be known as Section 915 and Section C-18.
HE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COU1'CIL OF THE C11"Y OF Jla;I1' "EhSON,
6,ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
SEC'.'ION 1. That Section 915 and Section 918, Chapter 19,
Revised Ordinances of the %ty of Jefferson, Biissol.?ri, 1941, re-
lating to the appointment of the City Dog Catcher, his duties
and salary, be a: d the same are hereby repealed end two new
sections are encated in lieu thereof, relating to the same subject,
to be known as Section 015 and Section 918 and to read as follows:
Section 915. On and after the 15th day of July of each
and every year hc�reaft.er up to the first Llonday in July of the
next succeeding year, it shall be the duty of the City ,jog
catcher to take up and impound in a suitable place 'designated
by the city conncil, all dogs within 'the corporate limits of the
City of Jefferson, subject to registration, found running at
large within said city, not collard in manner provided in section
913 of this chapter, and to that end the mayor is hereby authoriz-
ed to appoint a suitable person to catch and impound dogs not
licensed, who shall receive the sum of one hundred and forty
dollars per month as salary, payable bar the city.
Section 918. Every dog taken up and impounded ns pro-
vided for in section 911 of this chapter and which shall remain
impounded for two days wit..out being redeemed as provided for
in section 917 of this chapter, shell be killed in a humane
manner by the city dog catcher, or by some person by him duly
authorized.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ZEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. here is hereby appropriated out of any money
in the 'ity Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the following:
