ORDINANCE 1998- 24
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING §2 -197 OF THE
GREENCASTLE CITY CODE AMENDING
THE PURCHASING PROCEDURES OF
THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, Indiana passed
Ordinance 1998 -19 establishing the purchasing procedures for the City of Greencastle,
Indiana; and
WHEREAS, The City of Greencastle, Indiana desires to amend said Ordinance to
match the current procedures used for purchasing, with additional purchasing agents;
and
BE IT ORDAINED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Indiana, that § 2 -197 of the Greencastle City Code is amended to read as
follows:
Sec. 2 -197 PURCHASING PROCEDURE
4. The following shall be Purchasing Agents for the City of Greencastle
® Purchasing Agency and may designate, in writing, any employee in their department as
a Deputy Purchasing Agent, and is responsible for purchases made in each department:
Clerk- Treasurer
Fire Chief
Police Chief
Street Commissioner
Park Director
Cemetery Superintendent
Water Superintendent
Wastewater Superintendent
BE IT ORDAINED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle,
Indiana, that §2 -197 of the Greencastle City Code is hereby amended. All other sections
of §2 -197 remain in full force and effect, unchanged.
