An ordinance relating to the payment of maintenance to each Police
officer including the Chief of Police of the City of Jefferson,
lift
b7 j ssouri for the purpose of each Police Officer and Chief of Police
to buy their own uniforms and saintain same.
WHEREAS, the salary that the Mice Officers inxluding the Chief of
Police are inadequate to enable Police Officers to purchase and to
maintain said uniforms; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the general welfare of the Police
Department and the citizens of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
for said Police Officers to have the neccessary and proper Police
uniforms and keep said uniforms properly maintained.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF E'EFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWSs
Section 1. Each Police Officer including the Chief of Police
shall receive the sum of ten dollars in addition to their regular
salary starting as of July 1, 19450 and on the first day of each
calendar month hereafter, for the purpose of buying and maintaining
Police Officers' uniforms, said sum to be paid to each Police Officer
and chief of Police starting as of July 1, 1945, and on the first
of each calendar month hereafter.
