ANIORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE MONEY FOR THE MONTH OF JULY, 1945.
BE IT HHDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS s
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the
City Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the followings

For the purpose pf aaying the salaries of elective

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force

AN ORDINANCE providing for the levy of City Taxes and establishing
the rate of taxation for the City of Jefferson, as follows:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby levied and assessed the
following rate on all real estate and personal property within
the limits of the City of Jefferson, Missouri not exenpt from
taxation by the constitution or the laws of tie St9te of Missouri,
as shown by the as essment book of the pity of Jefferson, Missouri,
for the year 19 and on all Merchants and "`anufacturers statements,
made as provided by law.
First - For the purpose of paying all current expenses of
the °'ity of Jefferson, Missouri, for the fiscgl year, the sum of
cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
Second. - For the purpose of paying interest on the out-
standing bonds of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and for the
purpose of creating a sinking fund to retire the outstanding bonds
of the �'ity of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of 25 cents on
the one hundred dollar valuation.
Third - r•or the purpose of establishing and maintaining a
free public Library in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, th•- sum of
10 cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
SECTION 2. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to cause
to be extended in the appropriate column's opposite each item of
taxable property on the assessment book as returned by the Assessor—
of the ~ity of Jefferson, Missouri, and corrected by the County
