WHEREAS, the viaduct locat-ed in the 500 block West High Street between Walnut Street, and garrison Street, said viaduct being over the Missouri Pacific Railroad tracts in unsafe for vehtdlescarrying heavy loads; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary for the publif safety Pnd general welfare of the community to regulste the gross weight of vehicles plus their loads traveling across said viedu#t. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOTTRI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is hereby declared unleful for any person, firm or corporation, to drive a motor vehicle, carriage, wagon, or other Vehicle across the viaduct in the 500 block West High Street, said viaduct bein; between Walnut Street and Harrison Street over the Missouri acific Railroad tracts when said motor vbhicle weighs in excess of eight and one-half tons. SECTION 2. ,"ny person, firm or corporation, violating the provisions of this ordinance shall to deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be findd not less than twenty-five ($25.00) dollars nor more than one hundred ($100.00) dollars. SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby tepealed.
