AN limiting the weight of vehicles plus loads do same
traveling across the viaduct located in the 500 block West High
Street between Walnut and Harrison Streets; said viaduct being
over the Missouri Pacific Railroad tracts.
WHEREAS, the viaduct locat-ed in the 500 block West High
Street between Walnut Street, and garrison Street, said viaduct
being over the Missouri Pacific Railroad tracts in unsafe for
vehtdlescarrying heavy loads; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the publif safety Pnd general
welfare of the community to regulste the gross weight of vehicles
plus their loads traveling across said viedu#t.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOTTRI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is hereby declared unleful for any person,
firm or corporation, to drive a motor vehicle, carriage, wagon,
or other Vehicle across the viaduct in the 500 block West High
Street, said viaduct bein; between Walnut Street and Harrison
Street over the Missouri acific Railroad tracts when said motor
vbhicle weighs in excess of eight and one-half tons.
SECTION 2. ,"ny person, firm or corporation, violating the
provisions of this ordinance shall to deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be findd not less than twenty-five
($25.00) dollars nor more than one hundred ($100.00) dollars.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby tepealed.
SECTION 4. ,This ordinance shall take effect and be inforce
from abd after its passage and approval.

AN RDINANCE providing for the rezoning and re-districting
of and changing and re-districting said described property to a :,.�vi.'lt s
business district the territory consisting of the(block Oouth of
Dunklin Street and East of Wear' s Creek and between the alley mouth
of Dunklin, Walnut and Mulberry Streets end the territory West of
same to Dunklin Boulevard, known as Highway No. 50 and the block
North of Dunklin Street West of Wear' s Creek up to and including
Dunklin Loulevard known as Highway No. 50; also the territory ex-
tending West of Dunklin Boulevard, known as Highway No. 50 now
zoned as commercial and apartamnt up to Elm Street.
WHEREAS, A CERTAIN PETITION WAS FILED WITH THE CLERK OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON on `"ugust 17, 1945, praying to amend, change,
reclassify, and remmdify the_boundaries of the zoning ordinance
of the vity of Jefferson, Missouri, and requesting a re-zoning of
the territory consisting of a block Oouth of Dunklin Street and East
of Wear' s Creek and between the alley South of Dunklin, Walnut and
Mulberry Streetsa and the territory W,,st of same to Dunklin Boule-
vard, known as H ghway No. 50, and the block N rth of Dunklin
Street, IN st of'Wear' s Creek, up to and including Dunklin boulevard,
known as Highway 1':o. 50 and that a re-zoning be had of same and said
immediate territory in said vicinity may be deemed advisable and
for the best interests of the public, and,
