AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO Till; SALARY TO" BE PAID TO THE STENOGRAPGER
WORKING IN THE INSPECTIGN DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the stenographer working in the I''spection
Department of th ity of Jefferson, Missouri, shall receive eighty
five ($$5.00) per month, said salary to start as of Aprul 15, 1946.
SECTION 2. this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINAN CE PROVIDI G FOR ANGLE PARKING ON JEFFERSON STREET BETWEEN
CAPITOL AVENUE AND STATE STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Hereafter all automobiles, cars, trucks, or other
vehicles shall be parked so that the fron side of said vehicle shall form
a ninety degree anble with the curb line and such thhicle shall park
with the front end of said vehccle on the street indicated in such
manner as hereinafter set out:
(a) With front wheels towards curb on the west
side of Jefferson Street from Capitol Avenue
to State Street.
(b) With fron wheel towards curb on the east side
of Jefferson Street from Capitol Ivenue to
State Street.
SECTION 2. 'All ordinances or parts ofoordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and approval.

BURGWIIe MD SC MIDT, COT:SULTING 'ENGINEERS, SAID CONTRACT PERTAINIING
TO SECUI'ING\9AID CONSULTING"ENGINEERS ' SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF
aEFFERSON, MISSOURI.
BE 11' ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the city of Jefferson, Missouri, a
municipal corporation is hereby authorized and directed to sign
and execute on behalf of the City of Jefferson, Missouri: a cettain
contract which is more fully hereinafter set out, to—wit:
"TI?IS CONTRACT, made and executed in duplicate this

day of may, 1;,46, by and between the L'ity daf Jefferson L'Itt ,
Missouri, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called the ,ity,
party of the first part, and J. C. Schmidt, D.R.A. Purgwin, Geiger
and Schmidt, Consulting Engineers, of Kansas Gity, rRissouri, herein-
after called the Engineer, party of the second part.
"WITNESSETH: That in consideration of the mutual covenants
herein contained, the `'ity hereby agrees to employ the ngi.neer 0
perform the services hereinafter mentioned, and agrees to pay him for
such services according to the schedule of fees herpirt:cdntained.
The services which the engineer hereby agrees to perform are as
follows:
1.Do the design work for the Elm Street structure.
2. Prepare necessary plans and specifications, including
proposal form for the award of construction contracts
and the construction work to be accomplished.
3. Prepare an estimate of cost for the proposed construction
work as covered by the plans and specifications.
4. Furnish the ity with the original tracings and necessary
sets of specifications covering the proposed construction
work.
a. This contract does not cover or include foundation
soundings or soil bearing tests, such soundings and
tests shall be made by the 6ity and the information
made afailable to the engin @er to use in the design
work.
"Fees.
"For the services outlined on page one, the "ity agrees to
pay the ;ngineer four (4) percent of the .construction contract
price or four (4) per cent of the estimated construction cost in
case the construction work is not placed under contract, payments
to be made as follows:
1. On delivery of the plans and specifications to the Qity
three (3) percent of the estimated cost of construction
shall be due and payable.
2. After the receipts of bids by the City for the construction
work and the contract price estimated, four (4) percent
of the contract price less previous payments made, shall
be due and payable.
3. In case no contract is let for the construction work
within sixty (60) days after the delivery of plans and
specifications to the ity, four (4) percent of the
estimated cost of construction less previous payments made,
shall be due and payable.
"IN WITNESS HEREOF, the parties of the first and second parts
'have hereunto set their hands and seals on the date first above
wtitten."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediatelk
upon its passage and approval.
