Ali ORDINANCE ALLOWING THE SMOKE APATEYENT ENGINEER TVIENTY-FIVE
DOLLARS PER MONTH FOR THE USE OF HIS CAR IN HIS WORK.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TIME CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Starting as of June 1, 1946, the Smoke Abate-
ment Engineer of the ity of Jefferson, Missouri is lereby
allowed the sum of tw9nty-five dollars ($25.00) per month for
expenses in suing said car.

Section 2. All. ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. this ordinance shall become effective upon its
passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPR0VEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF
McCARTY STREET IN THE BLOCK FROM THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION
OF McCARTY STREET AND HUB STREET TO THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTIOAi
OF MCCARTS' STREET AND ALLEY ON THE EAST SIDE OF VISTA PLACE IN
THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, GRADING AND GRAVELING .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLL01ZS:
SECTION 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared
by the City ^ouncil, by its resolution, passed and approved on
May 6, 1946 necessary to grade and gravel the roadway of McCarty
Street in the block from the center of the intersection of McCarty
Street and Hub Street to the center of the intersection of McCarty
Street and alley on the east side of vista Place and it appearing
to the City ouncil that said resolution has been duly published
according to-the law for more than seven (,7) consecutive insertions,
in thr Post-Tribune, a daily newspaper, printed and published - in
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a majority of the resident
owners of property along said section of McCarty Street liable for
the costs of' said improvement, and who own a majority of the front
feet on said McCarty Street intended to bda improved, have not
filed with the vity "lerk a protest against said contemplated improve-
ment.
SECTION 2. That the said road of McCarty Street in the
block from the center of the intersection of McCarty Street and
Hub Street to the center of the intersection of McCarty "treet
and alley on the east side of 4ista Place in the ity of Jefferson,
mi ssouri, by grading and graveling, in accordance with the plans
and specificat ons submitted by the ity "ngineer and filed in the
office of the �ity Jerk, and that tfie total cost of the work
aforesaid shall be dharged and levied as a special assessment ggainst
the real estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated im-
provement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as pro-
vided in the City ''harter, and in Sections 764,765,766 and 767 of
"hapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of the ity of Jefferson,
pissouri, 1941, and of the Revised Statutes of the State of
.rissouri, 1939, and amendments thereto.
