Ells City Clerk ##4821 AN ORDINANCE PTOpVVIDING FOR `i'HE uONDEMNATION OF LAND FOR STREET URPOSES, AU 11GRI81NO AND DIHEUTIflU ThS UITI xxrut(NEY TO BRING A CONDEMNATION SPIT TO ACQUIRE CERTAIN LANDS IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON FOR STREET PURPOSES. RE IT ORDAINED BY THE' CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson finds that it isireasonably necessary for the public good to build a new commercial street from the southerly end of Clay Street to Dix Road. Section 2. The Uity Attorney is hereby authorized and dir- ected to institute immediately in the Circuit Court of Cole 'ounty, T-Tissouri,a condemnation suit agpinst Jennie Baer, Louis Stein and Gertrude Stein, his wife, owners of the described land to-wit: A part of the we,=t one-hplf of the Northeast quarter of Section 12 "ownship 44 Range 12, described as: Beginning atx a point on the southerly right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, said point being South 64 degrees East (magnetic) and 726 feet from the quarter section corner on the North side of Section 12, said point of .beginning also being the Northwest corner of the grantor' s land;, thence from the point of beginning South 59 degrees East, along and with the above mentioned right-of-way line, 267.2 feet to the northeast corner of the grantor' s land; thence soutj 5 degrees East, 33.9 feet; thence North 59 degrees West and parallel to the Missouri Pacific Rail- road right-of-way, 266.8 feet; thence North 4 degrees West, 33.6. feet to the point of beginning.' Beirg a strip North line co-inciding with the southerly right-of-way line of said Railroad. and shall proceed to acquire the title of said land being used'.as part of the right of way of said commercial street for street puur:: poses by condemnation from the daid owners of said land so that the City of Jefferson shall own and acquire a commercial street from the southerly end of Clay Street to Dix Road. ,
