SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to proceed
atonce to make out special tax bibs under the seal of the Cityoof
Jefferson, Missouri, of the afodsaid amounts against said lots
or pieces of land in the aforesaid Sewer District DTo. 68
situated,mentioned and described in the heretofore mentioned
sections of this Ordinance in the name of the owner or owners m
thereof, which said special and certified tax bills shall be signed
by the Mayor and attested and recorded by the City Clerk and de-
livered to Pope Uonstructi6n company , the Contractor of the
work of construction of the aforesadi sewers as provided arid re-
quried by the "h7arter of the City of Jefferson and the Ordinances
authorizing and ordering the construction of sewers in said Sewer
District No. 68 , heretofore passed and approved by the
Council.
SECTION 4. 4-his Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE providing for the condemmatio n of land for street
purposes, authorizing and directing the City Atbvrney to being a AX
pondemnation suit to acquire certain lands in the City of Jefferson
for street purposes.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSO?-'o
11ISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. `he ^ity Vouncil of the City of Jefferson finds
thati it is reasonably necessary for the public good to build a
new commercial street from the southerly end of Flay Street to
Dix toad.
Section 2. The ''ity Attorney is hereby authorized and dir-
ected to institute immediately in the Circuit gour.:t of Cole county,
ssouri) a condemnation suit against Jennie Peer, a widow, Louis
Stein and Gertrude Stein, his wife , Fnd said Attorney is authorized
