'WHEREAS; It has been shown to the 'i ty Council of the U ity
of Jefferson, flissourdi, that the owners of the adjacent and abutting
prolerty on Avenue "A" between the East Line of said Avenue "A" and
a pui.nt 450 feet "Jest of east line of Avenue "A" , havex used, im-
proved, and occupied, and are now using, improving and occupying
said abutting and adjacent land so that the aforesaid portion of
said street has ceased to be of any use or Lenefit as a public thorough-
fare and that it will noe inconvenience the public or the citizens of
the pity of Jefferson, ?iissouri, to discontinue and vacate said
Avenue "A" as a public thoroughfare, tiierefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON',
11ISS017RI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is hereby declared that the "ity '-ouncil of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri., deems it necessary and expedient to vacate
and discontinue Avenue "A" between tile East line of said Aveneu "A"
and a point 450 feet west of said East line of said Avenue "A" in
the ity of Jefferson, Alissouri, as shown on the plat on file and of
record in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cole County,
M ssourip All of the owners of the property and adjacent tracts
abutting on and adjacent to said street having petitioned the said
City Council to vacate and discontinue said street as a part of the
public thoroughfares of said City: Said street is hereby forever
vacated and discontinued as a public thoroughfare, and the power and
ritht of reversion of said street of the adjacent and abutting
property owners, as is provided by the Strtutes of the State of
l,iissuuri, is ;iereby fully confirmed and approved, and the Mayor of
the City at is hereby authorized and directed to execute all power
and sufficient writings, or instruments for, on behalf or in the
City of Jefferson, ;Missouri, to fully and completely establish and
guarantee to the adjacent and abutting property oviners their legal
rights in connection with the above vacation of said street.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of Ordinances contrary to, in
conflict or inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. .his Ordin ante shall take effect end be in force from
and after its passage and approval.

FROI:' GORDON STREET TO VETTER LANE THENCE ALONG VET`l'ER LANE TO MILLER
STREET.
RE IT ORDAINED PY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THR. CITY OF JEFFERSON, ra?ISSOURI,
AS FOLLOVlS:
SECTION 1. That the grade line of the .roadway of Elm Street
from Gordon Street oto Vetter ., ane thence along Vetter Lane to
Y'j Iler Street, be and hereby is established as follows: Reginning at
tile center line of Gordon and 1`11m Street where the elevation of the
grade shall be 166.00; thence 25ft. where the elevation of the grade
shall be 166.00; thence 625 ft. on a uniform grade where the elevation
of the g;rpde shall be 148.50; thence 100 ft. on a vertical curve
where the elevation of the grade shall be 146; 35; thence 100 ft. on
a vertical curve where the elevation of the Erade shall be 147.49;
thence 177 ft. on a uniform grade to the center line of Vetter' s
Lane where the elevation of the grade shall be 150.65L 238 ft.
on a uniform grade along the center line of Vetter' s Vane to the
South property line of Miller Street where the elevation of the
grade shall be 154.85.
SECTION 2. his rdihance shall tike e:•fect ^nd be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
