mises hereinafter made, it is covenanted and."•agreed as follows,
to-wit:
1. First arty, acting through its "'ayor, the Fon. Jesse N.
Ownes, duly authorized by the Council of said City of Jefferson,
does hereby. grant, demise, let nnci lease the aforesaidmontioned
parcel of lsnd to Second Tarty, for the term from date hereof until
,ctober 1, 1947, allowing said Second Party to cultivate and use said
property for the purpose of L.ardening, conarnanting for quiet en-
Itoyment, and permitting Second arty to take theref om the products
and produce of said garden.
2. Second party covenants and agrees to care for the said
parcel oflind by keeping weeds, sprouts, rub•:),th and refuse c]e ared
therefrom; an(-.- to otherwise keep it orderly and presentable during
the term of said lease , and to pland thereon such plants, vegetables,
fruits and flowers as will make e.aid parcel of land attractive and re-
munerative, that he will construct, nor Perm t to suffer ti be con-
structed, tany improvements thereon; and that he will, upon expira-
b1on of his term, surrender peacable possession to Pirst Party.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. 'his ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

Jefferson City, Yissouri .
be and is hereby accepted.
Section 2. his ordinance shall tape effect and be in force
from and after its'-passage and approval.
