AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a
municipal corporation, is hereby authorized and dir�-.cted to sign
and execute on behalf of the City of Jefferson, Y'ssouri , a certain
lease with Black & Veatch, the terms of said contract to be as
follows; to-wit:
THIS CONTRLCT, made end executed in duplicate thbs day
of ,, 194'1 , by and. between the City of Jefferson
Uity, Missouri, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called the dity,
party of the first part, and Black & Watch, consulting Engineers, of
Kansas Oity, Vi ssouri , her6iiiafter called the End ineers, parties of
the second part.
1NITNESSETH: That in co-cjsideration of the mutual covenants herein
contaivied, the �Oity hereby agrees to employ the engineers to perform
the services 'hereinafter mentioned, and agrees to pay them for such
services according to the schedule of fees hereinx contained. he
services wi'lich the en,-inters hereby agree to :perform are as follows:
Section A.
surveys, Plans and S ;ecifications.
1. !"ake the necessary field surveys for drawing plans and
specifications which includes:
a. Topographic survey of the entire area for the proposed
ultimate development.
b. Detailed surveys for runwayn gracing and drainage.
c. Soils, survey grid tests of materials to be used in the
proposed grading work.
2. Brepare the necessary plans ans specifications for- the
construction work to be accomplished uncer the present funds
available.
3. 'repare a topographic map for the entire area of the
proposed ultimate development, which will include a layout map
of the ultimate development.
4. Secure the approval of the CAA on plans prepared.
5. Furnish the city teri (10) sets of prints of all plans
drawn ar,d twenty five (25) sets of specifications covering the
proposed construction work. .L,ny additional sets of plans or
specifications required by the city will be furnished to them at the
cost of production.
6. Prepare an esti.inate of cost for the proposed construction
work as covered by the plans and specifications.
7. -onsult a:d cooperate with the United States Engineer
office in regar,, to future control plans for the 1. -ssouri "iver
:insofar as the sane affects the proposed Airport.
S. Vurnish the city with one set of reproduceable tracings
of all Mans drawn.
Section B.
Filed Inspection and construction Suorrvision.
1 . Furnish a full time r• silent enrrineer, with assistants
as required, to supervise the construction to assure that every part of
the work is done in accordance with the approved drawings and speci-
fications.
