Section 1. the members of the dity gouncil shall receive in
addition to their 'salary, fees as follows: "' ive dollars (tir5.00)

a memober; said fees received by e.ach councilman shall be litrited
and shall not exceed the sum of Fifteen Dollars (ti 15.00) per month.
Section 3. this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force

upon nusic machines, rr �.rble games, jute boxes, and all other inechanical
games player for pleasure by the insertion of a coin in a slot in order
to pay for the playing of such game.

Section 1. No person, firm or corporation shall own, overate,
expose or, ehi,iit for operation or permit or allow to be op-rated, exposed
or exhibited for operation in or upon any building or premises owned,
Aft leased, or controlled by him in the city of Oefferse n, any music machine
(excepting radios) marble games, ga?re or skill or device, the operation
or use of which requires a 'y c::in or metal slug to be inserted into said g
gatr.e, device or machine, w1thout first taking; out and obtaining a license
therefor from the pity of Jeff'crsc)r1, Missouri, w',ich license sh all be
posted in a conspicious place on said machine.
Section 2. the license imposed by Section 1 of tl,is ordinance
shall be paid at the following_-. rate : Fro r-usic machines per year;

Section 3. It shall be the duty of the owner of the machines
mentioned in Section 1 and 2 hereof to take out and pay for the license
on the aforesaid devices in his own proper name.
Section 4. I o license shrill be issued upon any Ggame, maebine
or mechanical devote t:,hich under the law constitutes a ambling device.
Section. 5. 'he licenses andtaxes herein provided shah become
due and payable on the lst da,r of February, 1947 for the year of 1947
ar:d on the first Cay of February* each year t1hnrcafter.
