of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1941, be and is hereby repealed
and in lieu thereof it is hereby enacted:
Section 2. AMOUNT TO BE EXPENDED. -- hereafter it shall not be imd
lawful for an officer of the city government, or any committee of the
council, except by and in pursuant of an ordinance or resolution of
the council, duly passed and approved, to contract for the haying out or
expenditure of a greater sum of money than fifty dollars, except
in cases of emergency, for any purpose whatever, andevery bill
proposing to appropriate money shall clearly and distinctly specify
the object, purpose or service rendered, for which the appro?riatidn
is required.
Section 3. All ordinances, or r)arts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. his ordinance shall take effect and be in force

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, TO , SIGN AND EXECUTE A CERTAIN CO11TRACT ON
THE PART OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS HEREIvAFTER SET OUT.
BE IT ORDAIVED BY THE CITY COUI•TCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSC N, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. +,he Mayor of the �'ity of Jefferson, Missouri, a
municipal corporation, is hereby authorized and directed'to sign and
execute on behalf of the City of 'Jefferson, Missouri, a certain
contract, ithe terms of said contract to be as follows, to-wit:
This 8ontract entered into t' is lath day of August, 1947, by and
between the ity of Jefferson and John C. Sybert (House moving
Contractor) party of the second part, whereby the party of the
second part agrees to do the following described work in K620.00)od work-
man like order for the sum of Six Hundred Twenty Dollars
to be paid as followi: Six Hundred Twenty Collars ($620.00) when
work is completed. he following is a detailed description of work
to be dame.
To move one building known as the A. M. Evans house located
on Highways 50 & 63 at Grand 6treet 100 feet approximately (north)
to a lot designated by party of the first part. arty of the Second
Part agrees to lay a footing of concrete sufficient to carry founda-
tion and further agrees to lay a foundation to consist of thr ee
rounds of concrete blocks, Party of second part agrees to replace sill if
if necessary.
Party of the Second fart agrees to furnish the proper tools to
execute the above described work efficiently m d carry same to com-
pletion without delay; barring delays that might occur thru fire,
rain, tornadoes or strikes.
Party of the first )art shall furnish right of way and moving
permit. To take out insurance on building in case of fire, lightning,
or tornado during moving of building. Contract price for the job
is to be Paid in full when work is can?fete according to the above
described agreement.
Section 2. All ordinances or oarts of ordinances in conflict
with t' I s ordinance are hereby repealed.
