AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. ,-L'he MWor 1!3 hereby authorized to appoint one
additional traffic patrolman with the cr�nsent of a najority of the
members of the �jity' Council; said patrolman to :)erform the s me
duties as set out in Ordinance No. - 3132 and to perform tLhy X'
anall
other duties pertaining to the rerulation of traffic qs may be
prescribed by the Mayor afd 0ity council from time to time. Ile shall
rece* ve the same salary as traffic patrolmen are now receiving in
the 6-ity of Jefferson,
Section 2. this ordinance shall become effective immediately
jupon its passage andapproval.

AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor of the vity of Jefferson, Missouri,
a municipal, corporation, is hereby a-athurized-and directed to sign and
execute oi, behalf of the ki ity of Jeffers:; n, 1'. ssouril a certain contract,
the terms of said contract to be as follows, to-wit:
This contract made and entered into this the 9th day of
October 1 1947 by and betv.,,een Tom C. Strong and rubie D. Strong,
his wife, and -7loy E. Tharp and Vivian A. Tharp, his wife of _'�ole
ounty, Missouri, hereinafter referred to as Parties of the ' irst
Part., and the Qity of Jefferson. Missouri, a municioa.1 cor,porpation,
hereinafter referred tons ,arty of the Second ' art, vwitnesseth:
For ai.id in consideration of the sum of Twenty-five Hundred
Dollprs (02. 500.00) paid by ` arty of the Second -"art to Parties of
the irst 'cart., said arties of the Yirst cart agree to the the
foll6wing to-wit:
parties of the first yrart agree to give Tarty of the Second
Part the right and privilege to remove from the following described
property any and all rock qnd, dirt that said ' arty of the Second part
desires to use in the construction of its industrial road provided
the contrao� for the construction work on said road is let within
one year from the execution date of this contract, and said construction
work is completed within o!7e year from the letting of said contract.
In the removal of said dirt and rock the Party of the Second ' art agrees
to keep the following described property reasonably level, same to be
kept on a drainage level starting at the gratitors! South property
line at an Qlevation to the base of tho rail of the Missouri acific,
Railroad Track and maintain a proper drainage slope on the grantor ' s land
to a depth not excooding one hundred fifty (150) feet,, Said following
described property being described as follows, to-wit:
