ORDINANCE NO, 61 -56
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY TO ESTABLISH THE CITY MANAGER I N
CHARGE OF PLOT PLAN APPROVAL
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 60-5 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Zoning Ordinance No. 1494 as adopted in Section
9102 of Chapter 1, Article IX is amended, added to and repealed as
fol lows:
(a) Section 133 is amended to read as follows:
"Director" means the Chairman of the Planning Commis-
sion of the City of Temple City.
(b) Section 728 is amended to read as follows:
"Section 728. Plot Plan. When more than one single
family residence is zoned R -1, R -A, A -1, A -2 -H and P, or more than two
single - family or one two - family residence in Zone R -2 are established,
constructed, occupied, structurally altered or used on a lot or parcel
of land having twice the required area or more, the owner of such lot
or parcel of land shall file with the Secretary of the Planning Commis-
sion in the City Hall, Temple City, California, for the administrative
records and for revision, verification or compliance, and approval of
the City Manager, or such member or members of the Administrative Staff
IIas the City Manager shall designate, a plot plan showing the size of
said lot or parcel of land, the use and locations oi` the buildings and
the area provided for each such residence as required."
(c) Section 729 is amended to read as follows:
"Section 729. Proper Location. In the event the
plans show that the proposed development of the property will violate
any provision of this Ordinance, will not maintain the character and
integrity of the district in which such use is intended to be establish-
ed, erected, constructed, occupied, structurally altered or used, or
will be detrimental to the general welfare of the community, the City
Manager, or the Administrative Staff member designated by the City
Manager to process plot plans, may require such revision of the plan as
may be necessary to correct these conditions."
(d) Section 729-1 is added to read as follows:
"Section 729,1. Plot Plan Review. In the event ap-
proval of any plot plan is denied by the City Manager or Administrative
Staff member the party in interest may petition the Planning Commission
for review of the particular decision and the Planning Commission shall,
at a regular meeting held within thirty days of receiving the petition,
determine whether to amend, modify, affirm or reverse the action taken
by the City Manager or member of the Administrative Staff. The majorit
IIaction of the Planning Commission shall be final. In the event of a
deadlock in the vote of the Planning Commission the action of the City
Manager or member of the Administrative Staff shall stand approved."
SECTION 3. Administrative Staff - Definition, A member of
the Administrative Staff is such person so designated by the City Mana-
ger.

City at a regular meeting thereof held this 27th day of November, 1961,
by the following roll -call vote:
