Minutes: Motion was moved and seconded to approve the minutes for the June 16th
meeting.
New Business: Max Williamson mentioned that we need to explore ideas for the junior
golf program, one of these was to schedule Mondays as the day to monitor junior golf
on the course. Max also presented a greens fee expense report from Intermountain
Golf Magazine.
Jeannie Campbell presented a list of improvements needed. They were: Trim the golf
course sign on the comer of Davis and Reedy Lane, designate the pump house area
as ground under repair, look into the appearance of the pond on #7 birch, installation of
city water to the restrooms, clippings are getting into the ponds, the steps on #4 birch
needed repair, #4 fairway was wet and to contour the fairways 125 —160 yards out.
Bill McMurray mentioned that we should either hide or change the color of the portable
restroom on #4 cedar.
Dan Pillard mentioned that the staff would look into repairing these items.
Old Business: Dan Pillard reported that the staff has completed the construction and
sodding of the following tees: #8 aspen, #2, 4, 7 birch. #2 birch has extensive drainage
installed. Total cost: approximately $2,000.
Staff Reports: Carl Hoss presented a revenue report. The report showed revenue up
significantly over last year, through June. The committee decided to look forward to the
July report to see if this trend will continue.
Mary Clemmer presented a revenue report for the clubhouse. The clubhouse revenues
were up over last year through June.
Dan Pillard, Carl Hoss and Bill McMurray will formalize the exact changes needed on
the cedar course for committee approval. The goal is to speed up play, make the
course more enjoyable to play by increasing the playing area. This information needs to
be taken to the Army Corps of Engineers for the proper permit process. Dan also
reported that the signs and repairs to the cedar course, under the agreement with
Spring Mountain Ranch, were to be completed soon. The repair of cartpath potholes
and the addition of asphalt on #8 aspen was to be completed on Friday. Dan reported
that the roadside was seeded and that proper pond levels were maintained.
