Re: Refund of taxes Block 67 Lot 22
Mr. George Leshko of 106 Coolidge Avenue was pronounced 100% permanently
disabled due to a wartime injury on March 20, 1997. New Jersey State law allows total
tax exemption for those service persons who were 100% permanently disabled. Mr.
Leshko applied with this office for tax exemption on his home at 106 Coolidge Avenue on
March 21, 1998. Beginning in the year 1999, he will be tax exempt on our tax rolls,
however, he qualifies to be tax exempt for 1998 even though he applied after January 1st.
Therefore Mr. Leshko should be refunded any taxes paid by him so far this year and the
remainder of this year's taxes should be canceled. Should you require any additional
information, please let me know.
