AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK OF CEMENT CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET IN WIDTH, THEM ITET BACK FROM BACK OF CURB, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF McCARTY STREET$ BETWEEN WALNUT AND HARRISON STREETS, AND ABUTTING 35 feet ON MCCARTY STR+' tT OWNED BY ED. H. KU EHN, BEING A FART OF INLOT 432, THE EAST LINT' LYING 20 FEET 10 I/2 inches WEST OF AND PARALLEL TO THE EAST LINE OF SAID INLOT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, four feet in width, three feet froin back of curb, on the North side of McCarty Street between Walnut and Harrison Streets, and abutting 35 feet on 1ucCarty Street, Owned by Ed. H. Kuehn, being a part of Inlot 432, the East line lying 20 feet IO I/2 inches West of and parallel. to the East line of said Inlot. , be constructed and built within thirty days from the ser- vice of a copy of this Ordinance on the Owner of the property herein- above described. SECTION. 2. Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a certified copy of this Ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve or cause to be served a copy of this Ordinance on the Owner or Owners above meiationed by delivering a copy hereof to said Owner or Owners or by leaving it with some member of his family over the age of 15 years, Making his return on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk. $ SECTION. 3. In the event the Owner or Owners above named fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its charter and Ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against said property for the cost of the construction of said sidewalk, which said special tax bill Will be a lien against the property above described. - Y SECTION. 4.
