Project Summary:
This project seeks to replace aging water distribution pipes within the City of Watertown located along Bigelow Avenue and surrounding
streets. To prevent contamination and improve both water quality and pressure in the Bigelow Avenue neighborhood the City would like to
replace approximately 2,500 linear feet of 6” cast iron water main with 8” ductile iron main. In addition to the main replacements, any service
lines containing lead goosenecks off these mains will be replaced in conjunction with this project.

Narrative description of the project:
This project seeks to replace aging water distribution pipes within the City of Watertown located along Bigelow Avenue and surrounding
streets. To prevent contamination and improve both water quality and pressure in the Bigelow Avenue neighborhood the City would like to

Detailed Project Budget:
Design Budget - $200,000.00
Construction Budget - $2,600,000.00
Construction Services - $200,000.00
Timeline for the project:

Construction Start - April 2024
Construction Completion - December 2024

What will be the overall benefit?
Improve water pressure and water quality for all residents residing in the Bigelow Avenue Neighborhood. Additionally, receipt of these funds
will assist in keeping water rates lower for all residents and businesses within the City as the DPW will not need to utilize water enterprise
fund retained earnings to pay for this project in the event the water main were to break prior to the project being funded by the City's Capital
Plan.
