AS FCLLOIVS:
SECTICI•T. I . That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, four
feet in width, - - - feet back from of curb, on the ;`Jest side of
Monroe Street, between Atchison and Franklin Strects , and abutting
50 feet on h.onroe Street owned by Laura Larue, being lot 27 of
Hutchison Subdivision of Outlots 6-7-8. be constructed and built
within thirty days from the service of a copy of this Ordinance
on the owner of the property hereinabove described.
SECTION'. 2. ,Vithin two days after the passage of this Crdinance,
the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City I,Iarshal a
certified copy of this Ordinance, and said City 11arshal shall serve
or cause to be served a copy of tl•iis Crdinance on the owner or owners
above rientione<d, by delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners
or by leaving it with some menbei, of his family over the age of I5
years , making; his return on another copy of said Crdinance, �:Allich
cony shall be filed in the office of tYie City Clerk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the ov,ner or owners abcver named fail to
construct said sidewalk as above directed, tyien the City of Jefferson,
under the power and authority given it by its charter and Ordinances
will construct said side+,,,alk and will issue a special tax bill a
against said property for the cost of the construction of said
sidewalk, v,hich said special tax bill will be a lien against the
property above described.
