SECTION. I. That a ,3idevialk of cement concrete riaterial. , four feet in
width, ---feet back froi>> back of curb, on t),c east side of I..onroe
Street, between Tyler and Woodlawn Streets, and abutting 60 feet on
1: onroe StrectCwned by A. W. % ilkerson , being lot 34 of Voodcrest
Addition. Sidewalk to start at the north curb line on % oodlawn Ave . ,
be constructed and built within thirty dn.ys from the service of a
copy of this Ordinance on the owner of the property h.ereinabove
described.
SECTION. 2. ViitY:in two days after the passage of this Ordinance , the
City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Larsha.l a certified
copy of this Ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve or cause
to be served a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above
mentioned, by delivering; a copy hereof to said owner or ovmcrs or by
leaving it with sortie mer.!ber of his family ove- the age of 15 years,
making his return on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy
shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or ovmers above named fail to
construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of Jeffetrscn,
under the power and authority given it by its charter and Ordinances
;rill construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill
against said property for the cost of the construction of said
sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a. lien against the
property above described.
SECTION. 4 . This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its pats:a,Ce and approval.
