HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD03217 4 1. the Park Fund and of the supervision, improvement, care and custody of said Park; Provided, that all moneys received for such parks shall be deposited in the Treasury of said City or Town to the credit of the Park Fund and shall be kept separate and apart from the other moneys of such City or Town and drawn upon by the proper Officers of said City or Town upon the properly authenticated vouchers of the Park Board. Said Board shall have power to purchase or otherwise secure ground to be used for such Parks, shall have power to appoint a suitable person to take care of said Parks and necessary assistants for said person and fix their compensation, and shall have rower to remove such appointees; and shall in general carry out tht spirit and intent of this Article in establishing public Parks,. SECTION. 7. The said Board of Directors shall make, on or before the second ?Monday in June, andannual report to the City Council stating the condition of their trust on the first day of May of that year, the various sums of money received from the Park fund and other sources, and how such moneys have been expended and for what purposes; with such other statistics, information and suggestions as they may deem of general interest. All such portions of such report as relate to the receipt and expenditures of -money shall be verified by affidavit. SECTION. 8. Any person desiring to make donations of money, -personal property or real estate for the benefit of such Park shall have a right to vest the titled to the money or real estate so donated in the Board of Directors created under this Article, to be held and controlled by such Board when accepted according to the terms of the deed, gift, devise or bequest of such property; and as to such property, the said Board shall be held and considered to be the special trustees. AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE LOTS OR TRACKS OF LAND FRONTING OR ABUTTING ON Thy; ROADWAY OF THE ALLEY IN THE BLOCK BETWEEN HIGH STREET, MCCARTY STREET, JACKSON STREET & MARSHALL STREET IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE SAID ROADWAY BY GRADING AND PAVING WITH CEMENT CONCRETE MATERIAL. BE IT CRDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION. I . There is hereby levied and assessed at the .rate and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this Ordinance against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on the roadway of the Alley in the block between High street, McCarty street, Jackson street and Marshall street in the City of Jefferson Missouri, for the improvement of the roadway the alley aforesaid, including such grading as may be necessary for the reception of a cement sidewalk, • the sum of 01996.50 as the total costs of the improvement of said street and the number of front feet fronting or abutting said roadway of said alley aforesaid, between the aforesaid streets amount to 807.50 running, feet; the cost price per running foot is $ 2.4725 . SECTION. 2. For the purpose of paying said improverient of said roadeaay of the alley in the block between High Streets McCarty Street, Jackson Street and Yarshall Street there is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $ 2.4725 as a special tax against each front . foot of ground fronting or abutting said roadway of alley between the aforesaid streets, and contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said improved roadway of said alley in the block between High Street, McCarty Street, Jackson Street and
