• RESOLUTION NO. 132-00
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 26TH YEAR
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $85,650.00.
WHEREAS, the United States Government has made available Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) funds for certain community development projects under guidelines
established by the federal government; and
WHEREAS, said grant monies are administered and distributed by Tarrant County to area
cities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills has identified a project location on Airline Drive,
Leslie Drive and Norma Lane within the City for water line rehabilitation and asphalt street overlay;
and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that the project will be completed at a cost of $85,650.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, after study, has found
• and determined that such project would be of benefit to the residents in the project area and to the
City of Richland Hills as a whole; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Richland Hills City Council, by passage of this
Resolution, to approve said 26`" Year CDBG Project in the amount of $85,650.00, and to authorize
appropriate City officials to submit applications to Tarrant County, Texas for CDBG funds to
complete said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
I.
That the City Council hereby approves the 26`" Year CDBG Project described herein, in the
amount of $85,650.00, for water line rehabilitation and asphalt street overlay on portions of Airline
Drive, Norma Lane and Leslie Drive within the City, and hereby authorizes City officials to submit
the appropriate application forms to Tarrant County, Texas to secure funding to complete said
project.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, by
a vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions this 13th day of March , 2000.
