AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
CME ASSOCIATES FOR GENERAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
FOR THE 2022 CALENDAR YEAR
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional General Engineering
Services for the 2022 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineers, CME Associates, possess the
requisite.skill and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, CME Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering
services at a total cost not to exceed $50,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Finaan cial�OfficerOhalc6erlifiV is at funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Acct. # 1 SS LL 44
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal from CME Associates for professional General
Engineering.Services for the 2022 calendar year at a total cost not to
exceed $50,000.00, billable in accordance with CME Associates's existing
contract with the Borough, is hereby approved.
2. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(l)(a) in accordance with the Borough's
Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and CME Associates.
Adopted this 31" day of January, 2022
and certified as a true copy of the
original on February 1, 2022.

Please be advised that we have completed our 2021 authorization for general engineering
services and respectfully request we be authorized for 2022 in the amount of $50,000.00, which
is the same as 2021. As before, we will perform related services when specifically requested by
your office.
