BE IT ORDAINED BY T10,' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFE'RSCN,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION. I . Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared
by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on
February 3rd. 1930 necessary to pave with penetration bituminous
macadam the roadway of Berry Street in the block from the center
of the intersection of Berry Street and High Street to the center
of the intersection of Berry Street and McCarty Street and it
appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been duly
published according to the lave for more than seven ( 7) consecutive
insertions, in the Capital-news a. daily newspaper, printed and
published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri , and a majority of the
resident owners of property along said section of Berry Street
liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own a majority
of the front feet on said Berry Street intended to be improved,
have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against said
contemplated improvement.
SECTION. 2. That the said road of Berry Street from the
intersection of Berry Street and High Street to the center of the
intersection of Berry Street and 1:cCarty Street, be paved with
penetration bituminous macadam, curbed with cement concrete
material and graded where necessary, in accordance with the plans
and specifications submitted by the City Engineer and filed in
the office of the City Clerk, and that the total cost of the work
aforesaid shall be charged and levied. as a special assessment
against the real estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated
improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as
provided in the City Charter, and in Section 822,823,824,and 825
of chapter 44 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, 19259 and of the Revised Statutes of the State of
Missouri, 19199 and amendments thereto.
SECTION. 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to
advertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTICN. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

AS FOLLOWS:

December 10th. 1929 necessary to grade the roadway of McCarty Street
in the block from the center of the intersection of McCarty Street
and Hamlin Street to the center of the intersection of McCarty
Street and Hart Street and it appearing to the City Council that said
resolution has been duly published according to the law for more
than seven ( 7) consecutive insertions , in the Capital,"news a daily
newspaper printed and published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri.,
and a majority of the resident owners of property along said section
of EicCarty Street liable for the costs of said improvement, and who
own a majority of the front feet on said McCarty Street intended to
be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against
