LISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION. Is That the grade line of the roadway of Edwards
Street from the South property line of River Lane to a point IO feet
East of the West line cf Pierce Street, in the City of Jefferson,
1:issouri , be established as follo,ris; Beginning_, at Aahe center of
Edwards Street and the South property line of 'River Lane, where the
elevation of the grade shall. be, 233.00; thence on a uniforn. grade
to a point that is IO feet East of the West line of McKinley Street
there the elevation of the grade shall be, 228.00; thence 30 feet,
where the elevation of the ;trade shall be, 223.00; thence on a,
uniform grade to a point 10 feet East of the West line of Pierce
Street, where the elevation ofthe grade shall be 218.5.
SECTION. 2. This ordinance s}-,all take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE CCUNCIL 01' THE CITY OF JEF11RSCN,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION. I . Whereas , it was heretofore found and declared
by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on
Alk March 3, 1930 necessary to pave with cement concrete the roadway of
Miller Street in the block from the center of the intersection of
Miller Street and Brooks Street to the center of the intersection
of Miller Street and Hart Street, where the same turns North from
Miller Street and it appearing to the City Council that said resolut-
ion has been duly published according to the law for more than seven
( 7) consecutive insertions, in the Capital News a daily newspaper
printed and published in the City of Jefferson, 1:issouri, and a
majority of the resident owners of property along said section of
killer liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own a
majority of the front feet on said LFiller Street intended to be
improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against said
contemplated improvement.
SECTION. 2 . That the said road of Driller. Street, between
Brooks Street and Bart Street, where the same turns North from
Miller Street , be graded and paved with cement concrete in accordance
with the -plans and specifications submitted by the City Engineer
and filed in the office of the pity Clerk, and that the total cost
of the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special
assessment against the real estate abutting and fronting on said
contemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued
