HomeMy Public PortalAbout021-2005 - Rezoning - 1225 S 23rd St. - nursing homeAMENDED ORDINANCE 21-2005 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP FOR A CERTAIN PARCEL FROM R-1 TO A SPECIAL USE DISTRICT WHEREAS, The Zoning Map designates certain property commonly known as 1225 South 23rd Street, generally located on that undeveloped land southeast of the intersection of South L Street and South 23rd Street and legally described as provided and follows, to-wit: See attached Exhibit “A” WHEREAS, it is desirable to change the above described real estate’s zoning designation to a Special Use District in order to allow the owner to develop a nursing home, assisted living campus and physical therapy and rehabilitation at this location. NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the zoning designation for the above described property is changed to a Special Use District, subject to the following restrictions: 1. The nursing home, assisted living campus and physical therapy and rehabilitation building and grounds will occupy approximately ten (10) acres of this parcel and the maintenance of the remaining 21 acres will be the responsibility of the developer. 2. No additional development shall occur without the entire parcel being designated a Planned Unit Development Passed and adopted this 6th day of June, 2005, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
