NO. 3286. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK
OF CEIMNT CONCRETE NA,TERIAL, FIVE FF3ET IN WIDTH, FOUR FE-ET BACK FROM
BACK OF CURB, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF HIGH STREET, BETWEEN MULBERRY AND
WALNUT STREETS, AND ABUTTING 180 FEET ON HIGH STRFFET OWNED BY G. H.
DULLS MILLING COMPANY, BEING INLOT 301 & PART OF INLOT 302• SIDEWALK
TO START AT THE EAST CURB RETURN ON WALNUT STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTICN. I . That a sidewalk of cement concrete material,
five feet in width, four feet back from face of curb, on the North
side of High Street, between Mulberry and Walnut Streets, and abutting
180 feet on High Street owned by G. H. Dulle Milling Company, being
Inlot 301 & part of Inlot 302. Sidewalk to start at the East curb
return on Walnut Street be constructed and built within thirty days
from the service of a copy of this Ordinance on the owner of the
property hereinabove described.
SECTICN. 2. Within two days after the passage of this
Ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City 'Marshal
a certified copy of this Ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve
or cause to be served a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners
above mentioned, by, delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners
or by leaving it with some member of his family over the age of 15
years, making his return on another copy of said Ordinance, which
copy shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named
fail to constri4et said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of
Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its Charter and
Ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special
tax bill against said property for the cost of the construction of
said sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a lien against
the property above described. .
SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

NO. 3287. AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 909 REVISED ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1925, RELATING TO THE SALARY OF BUILDING
INSPECTOR, A1ND TO ENACT IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOV`JN
AS SECTION 90.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION. I . That Section 90 of the .Revised Ordinances of
19259 appearing at P.12 of the Supplemental Ordinances of the City of
Jefferson, be and the same is hereby repealed and, a new Section to
be known as Section 90 enacted thereof and to read as follows:
SECTION. 90. Tha Building Inspector of the City of Jefferson
shall be appointed by the Mayor, by and with the advice and consent
of the majority of the members elected to the City Council, shall
