SECTION. 2• Anyone violating the terms of this Ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall
be subject to a fine or not more than one hundred dollars , or to
imprisonment in the City Jail for not more than ninety days, or to
both such fine and imprisonrment .

NO. 3313. ATd ORDINANCE OF TILUL CITY OF JEFFERWON, M-.ISSCURI , VACATING
A STRIP OF GROUND 20 FEET ITT WIDTH LYING BETWEEN INL' OTS 284 AND 283
on the north and Inlots 287 and 286 on the South and described as;
Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of Inlot 284; thence Westerly
along the Northerly line of the City alley 180 feet; thence South-
erly parallel with Harrison Street, 20 feet to the Southerly line
of said alley; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of said alley.
180 feet to Harrison Street; thence Northerly along; Harrison Street
to the point of beginning, and authorizing and directing the Mayor
of said City to execute all necessary instruments to the owners of
the adjacent property, to and for said alley so vacated, as the
parties entitled thereto, as shown by the record title to said
adjacent and abutting property and declaring a, reverter to the res-
pective owners of said abutting real estate.
Whereas, it has been shown to the City Council of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, that the owners of certain Inlots in the
City of Jefferson, Missouri , as shown by the original plat thereof
which said lots abut and adjoin certain portions of said alley, have
used improved and occupied, and are now using and occupying said
abutting and adjacent land so that said portion of said alley has
ceased to be of any use or benefit as a�+public thoroughfare and
that it would not inconvenience the public or the citizens of the
City of Jefferson to discontinue and vacate said alley as a public
thoroughfare therefore;
, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION. I . It is hereby declared that the City Council of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and expiedent to
vacate and discontinue that part of the 20 foot City alley, lying
between Inlots 284 and 283 on the North and Inlots 287 and 286 on
the South and described as; Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of
Inlot 284; thence Westerly along the Northerly line of the City .Alley
180 feet; thence Southerly parallel with Harrison Street, 20 feet to
the Southerly line of said alley; thence Easterly along the South-
erly line of said alley, 180 feet to Harrison Street; thence North-
erly along Harrison Street to the point of beginning, all the owners
of the property and adjacent lots abutting on and adjacent to said
portions of said alley having petitioned said City Council to vacate
and discontinue said portions of said alley as a part of the public
thoroughfare of said City; said alley is hereby forever vacated and
discontinued as a public thoroughfare and the power and right of
reversion of said portions of said alley to the adjacent and abutting
owners, as is provided by the Statutes of the State of Kissouri, is
hereby fully confirmed, ratified and approved and the Mayor of this
City is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver all
proper writings, or instruments for, on behalf or in the name of the
City to fully and completly establish and guarantee to the adjacent
and abutting owners their legal rights in connection with the above
vacation of said portions of said alley.
SECTICN. 2. This Ordinance shall take effect arid be in force
